Julie Kogan-White, M.A.

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

With over thirty-five years of clinical experience, I have been providing therapy to adult women and men, adolescents, and college students. My areas of specialty include recovery from the impact of sexual betrayal – including sexual addiction, relationship issues, depression and anxiety, sexual assault, incest, PTSD, and other forms of abuse. My background includes extensive experience counseling couples both who have been impacted by sexual betrayal and couples struggling with other issues.

Clients who I counsel experience my supportive, attentive listening, frequent validation of their feelings and nonjudgmental support. I am personally very comfortable with a wide range of emotions, and I am invested in helping clients honor and express their feelings, thoughts, and needs. I help clients identify their strengths, explore their emotional conflicts, and find a way to resolve their inner conflicts and pain.

I possess specialized training in two powerful trauma resolution methods of therapy: Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor (PBSP) and EMDR. Both methods work with multiple aspects of ourselves to resolve trauma reactions in the present which interfere with optimal functioning. I also incorporate the use of imagery and anxiety reduction techniques.

Clients who work with me report feeling relief from old wounds, more confidence in handling various aspects of their lives, and increased optimism about their future.

I welcome the opportunity to help you along in your journey. Please call or email me.
