I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field in a variety of settings: child and adolescent day treatment, college counseling center, outpatient therapy clinics, outpatient neuropsychology clinics, and in-home. My previous career was aviation: pilot, flight engineer, mechanic, inspector, and manager of quality assurance.

I do anger management therapy, short-term sexual responsibility therapy for pre-adolescent and adolescents who have committed a limited degree of sex offenses; i.e., not severe enough to warrant a sex-offender program. I also do couples and family therapy, individual therapy for common disorders such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, personal losses. Additionally, I do assessments and testing: anger management, sex addiction, psychosexual evaluations, psychological, career.

My goal is to provide a supportive environment where change is made easier. I have worked with people from all walks of life. I strive to understand their life experience, their innermost thoughts, and feelings.

I use a variety of types of therapy as appropriate for the client in the moment. Therapy types include cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, Gestalt, reality, and others. While I take my work seriously, I employ a lot of humor in my sessions, especially with adolescents!

I hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University-Twin Cities. My concentrations were in child psychology and marriage/family therapy. I have attended several hundred hours of continuing education over the years.

I have a license to practice clinical psychology in the state of Minnesota. Member of APA, AASECT.
